On April 16, 2026, Elo will release a new OS update for the Android 12 devices. This update includes feature enhancements and bug fixes that will improve the performance and usability of these devices. This update will be available for download on the EloView cloud portal as a dropdown OTA and will become the default EloView and OEMConfig as of April 23, 2026. Please reach out to your Elo support contact for any additional questions or to request access to a direct download of this update.
New features and enhancements:
- Added support for changing the scanner data input programmatically on M60 devices.
- Added persistence of Wi-Fi network configurations imported via pre-stage after factory reset.
- Added support for migration of Elo Android devices from Workspace ONE to EloView 4.
- Added 802.1x enrollment and certificate renewal support as part of the EloView Home SDK.
- Added option to configure Lock Timer after Screen Timeout as part of the EloView Home SDK.
- Added support to enable or disable auto-rotate screen orientation.
- Added option to hide the floating back button in EloView mode.
- Added conditional boots based on shutdown state for M60 devices.
- Resolved connectivity issues for devices failing to reach EloView while online.
- Resolved Delayed Content Deployment to ensure schedules are respected.
- Resolved unresponsiveness in Backpack devices following OTA updates.
- Resolved I-Series 4 SCO Bluetooth profile connectivity issues.
- Resolved EloPayLink+ installation to ensure terminal configurations are included.
- Restored proxy functionality for Wi-Fi connections.
- Enabled IP Address visibility after applying pre-stage methods (PEAP, TLS, PWD, TTLS) via LAN.
- Optimized ANR log management to prevent excessive folder growth in the log directory.
- Modernized the Elo Setup Wizard by converting to Jetpack Compose framework.
- Improved multi-core speeds on I-Series 4 Value devices running Android 12.
As always, your devices will never prompt an update or auto-update. Once the update is available, devices can be updated from the EloView Portal or at the device level from the EloView Control Panel. Other MDM users can leverage Auto and Manual Update features of Elo OEMConfig to update the devices.
