  • 1.27.32 for I-Series 1.0

The EloView product team is excited to announce a major feature release. This update brings more control over your devices through the cloud portal and many improvements on determining device behavior by using the EloView cloud portal. Below is a list of new features.

  • Custom user roles
  • Enhanced filters and search
  • Improved Logging
  • Enhancements to virtual keyboard and navigation bar

Detailed Feature Description

Custom User Roles
As an administrator, you can now create custom user roles, that define a set of permissions that users can take. You can also assign new roles for single-sign-on (SAML) users directly.

Previously, user access permissions (for example, read or write access to Content) could be set individually. Now, a set of permissions can be assigned a “role” for more efficient user management. You can create a role from scratch and save it or by use pre-defined templates such as admin, registered user and viewer. You can access this feature under the “Manage Users” section.

Enhanced Filter and Search Functions
You can now build more powerful filters by using new operators such as “AND NOT”, “IN”, “NOT IN and “OR” for multiple filtering across all pages in the EloView portal. The filter and search bar are accessible on Dashboard, Devices, Content Page, Activity Logs and Manage Account tabs.

Device and Account Information Improvements
You can now track all the activities for a single device as well. All you should do is to check activity log for a device, so that you see the action and its associated user. You can search for historical data of activity logs and generate log reports based on desired date range.

Virtual Keyboard and Android Navigation Bar
You can now customize the color of your Navigation Bar by using a a palette on the EloView portal. This will allow you to customize your interactive screens more closely with your branding. You can also choose to hide/ show the Android virtual keyboard on your device through your EloView cloud portal account. This feature will be useful where a physical keyboard is connected to a device or if a custom keyboard is rendered in your application.

Device Replacements Made Easy
It is now easy to replace a specific device in your network with a new device (e.g., to replace a failed unit or to upgrade to a larger screen). On the EloView portal, click on the device that is being replaced; in the device details page, edit the serial number and add the serial number of the new device. EloView will send all data associated with the old device to the new device. The original device will be moved to a locked state, and all the data from the device will be removed.
